Odd, even when compared to the previous entries. Hal is taking down some smugglers when a woman pleads with him from within his ring.
Stumped, Hal talks to the ring directly and it tells him. To wit, a scientist named Blanding shrunk himself and his family down to the atomic level to escape all violence. Blanding also built a ton of robots to make the atomic world livable, but before you can say 'Jack Robinson', the robots all go evil and decide to subjugate all that dwell within the atomic landscape.
Hal naturally manages to stop and bring the Blandings back to the real world.
