Lousy Riverdale punks...
Seriously though, we open in Flugerville, Quagmire's longtime rival. Sammi is there, manning her uncle's food cart. Ichi and Jeremy are there too, with Jeremy being on the receiving end of Sammi's ice cream fastball.
In which Sammi pitches an ice cream bar into Jeremy's mouth. Seems like a lawsuit waiting to happen, but eh.
Jeremy and Sammi chat for the first time, and Jeremy nearly gets his hand crushed by Sammi's grip. She mends it, but right as Lendo happens by. He takes Jeremy's bothering his gal rather poorly, but Sammi sets it straight. Lendo is impressed by her spunk and offers her a chance to marry him. She turns him down, which makes him want her even more.
Jeremy quickly runs into Andrew, who happens to be palling around with his buddies Ox, Lughead, and Ronald. Ronald puts some moves on Ichi, which gets him horribly beaten by local rich gal Vernia. Seriously, I think she cracked his skull.
He explains that he was merely chatting with Ichi, but when Vernia sees Sammi's cart she flips out again. Seems her family's been running the concessions at the fair for a hundred years. Sammi doesn't care. An ice cream fastball stops her from taking a sword to the stand, but Vernia won't concede defeat....
From there, well, it's pretty much Dunn drawing every American superhero he can think of facing off against every manga/anime/tokusatu hero. Ever wanted to see the Chef of the North Star take on the Bulk? Or what is clearly not Captain America facing down what is clearly not Kamen Rider?
Cute, and yes, this is a parody of Archie and the gang. Vernia and Lendo's battle of one-upmanship fits perfectly for both characters, with increasing sides yet lower stakes.
