A host who started as a parody yet grew into something more. The Ghastlee Movie Show made its debut on Halloween night, 1988 on DATV Time Warner Cable Channel 20 out of Dayton but his origins actually started out earlier.
Yes, on a public access show the Underground Sideshow, comedian Bob Hinton was cast as a reluctant horror host yet from that small acorn a mighty and musty oak grew.
The show evolved with the times, with Hinton even getting into the Horror Host Underground, yet it seems he has slowed down. He had a right amount of sarcasm and had an almost Night Flight feel about his show with odd clips and sound effects dubbed over.
