Now this is a bit different, in that it's a pilot.

The show, had it been picked up, would have focused on the Night Scholars. Who are they? They are the ones who bump back in the night. 

Which is good, as all their research is pointing towards one-the Old Ones are waking up, and soon. The enigmatic Mr. Moon (Paul Darrow) works tirelessly and manages to postpone doomsday. Happy ending, right?

Well, no. During the course of the fight, many toes are stepped on, with some powerful people now being aware of the Night Scholars. Still unware of the Old Ones, however, so now Mr. Moon must face something far worse-bureaucracy.

The Night Scholars are quickly and quietly disbanded, with Moon barely avoiding a lengthy jail sentence. Which is fine, but we jump ahead several years. Seems the Old Ones are merely sleeping and their alarm clock is ticking down. Can Moon gather a new series of heroes in time?
