Dusting off an old feature.
In the future, astronaut John Blackstar (George DiCenzo) flies his ship through a blackhole and ends up on the planet Segar, where he aides the Trobitts in their battle against the Overlord (Alan Oppenheimer), alongside his allies the enchantress Mara (Linda Gray) and the shapeshifter Klone (Patrick Pinney).
Pretty much John Carter of Mars meets Snow White. Since it's a Filmation production there is of course the overused stock footage. The stock visuals are amazing. It's just when they stat moving is when things looks cheap.
As for the plot, not bad. The idea is fine but the episodes toss so much yet spend so little time on anything. We just lurch from one fantastic place to another.
It was one of the first sword and planet shows, so kudos for that.
