New issue and a new character!
Folks at the beach are startled by the arrival of Akaru Kaiju. He crashes into the beach on the back on his sea monster Sigmund. He's looking for Quagmire, USA and he won't be stopped!
He soon arrives in town-his mission? Find Itchy Koo! Why? Marriage, of course!
Yeah, seems some years ago, Itchy wrote a message and like the man Sting sung, tossed the message in a bottle into the ocean.
Akaru found the bottle as a boy, inbetween exploring the island he grew up on and being ignored by his father, an Imperial Navy officer shipwrecked on the island. Mostly he mediates as he stares out over the ocean and curses it for wrecking him there.
Of course, his son doesn't seem to have any trouble getting to other lands.
Akaru easily tracks down Itchy and proposes. She naturally has some issues with his method although Jeremy waffling between her and Asrial does raises him in her eyes. That isn't good enough though and one sleeping powder later, Akaru has carried her off!
Not bad, although I'm told Akaru is a wholesale transplant from Future Boy Conan. Honestly he comes across more Tarzan-ish to me. The whole 'Japanese military officer doesn't know the war is over' was getting a bit long in the tooth by the 90's though.
