"Auto Berserk", the Transformers, October 16, 1985
With this we have a special look at the Autobot security chief Red Alert.
While the Autobots test a weapon, the Decepticons attack! Red Alert stays behind to protect said weapon and gets blasted as a result.
He shrugs off his comrade's concerns, but it clear that Red Alert is far from ok. On the way back, Red Alert fails to pick up approaching Decepticons signals, leaving Optimus Prime and Ironhide buried alive. They dig themselves out, but they confront Red Alert. He takes their criticism to heart, i.e. screams they are plotting to kill him. He flees as everyone tries to explain, but the exchange is witnessed by Starscream, who sees opportunity.
The air commander approaches Red Alert and convinces him to put his weapon down and work with him. Are his intentions clear or is Red Alert walking into a trap?
Great, even if this would color Red Alert's media portrayal for the next thirty years.
