Hosts can change characters, although most tend to change names rather than characters. Sir Cecil Creape became the Phantom of the Opry and the Son of Svengoolie dropped his title, but few have altered their character so completely. The first San Antonio host of the Twenty First Century was originally JR Ghul, the ghost of an undead hair metal rocker who crashed his classic car back in the 1980’s. He was also the lead singer of the band Tortured Skull.

Then the idea happened; tired of having to repaint his face before work and taking inspiration from the character of Scareglow from He-Man & the Masters of the Universe the mysterious man known to the world of men as JR Ghul decided that Ghul should rest in peace. In his place rose a grim and ghastly ghost known as E.Spanto.

From then Bloodshot Theatre has moved mostly in the Internet circles. The show is still airing and E.Spanto can be contacted through his website.
