Everyone's foul tempered Dinobot
The figure was originally a Diaclone Dinosuar Robo Triceratops. Yeah, robot dinosaur so that's always a plus. That would be the only figure in the Generation One series, aside from the decoy figure. A few international variants had a slighly different color scheme.
For the file card, Slag is just plain mean. Has no need for friends and even less for enemies. That, and combined with his habit of burning the crap out of everything, means he is often abandoned on the battlefield.
The comic did a fair job. He was pretty much Grimlock's number 2 guy, but Grimlock did a fair amount of things in the comic, so Slag still had some decent screentime. He made it to the end of the series too, so that's a plus.
Voiced by Neil Ross in the cartoon, Slag was pretty much the same as he was in the comic. Angry and mean, Slag didn't have any episodes focusing on him directly but he did show up enough and even got some good zingers during the Movie.
