Return to Return to Nuke 'Em High AKA Vol.2 (2017), dir. Lloyd Kaufman, Troma Entertainment
And so it ends with what a few folks have called the endgame of Troma. Everything Kaufman has been building to explodes across the screen in glorious bodily fluids of every type. You decide if that's a good thing or a bad thing.
Lauren (Catherine Corcoran) and Chrissy (Asta Paredes) are riding high. They exposed the crimes of Lee Harvey Herzkauf (Lloyd Kaufman) so everything is beer and skittles, right?
Well it is, at least until Lauren has her monthly visitor in the girl's shower room at school. Been a while since I've seen Carrie but I'm pretty sure blood isn't supposed to dissolve flesh and bone. In the horrifying aftermath, Lauren discovers she's given birth too, to a freaky duck mutant.
Speaking of ducks, Kevin the Wonder Duck wanders into the Tromoganic Foodstuff factory and falls into a barrel of toxic waste. Soon a superduck sized creature is born! And he is pissed!
And the Cretins are back and they plan to wage a final assault against the school!
And Lee Harvey's past comes back to haunt him and tie all this back to the original Nuke 'Em High in a way that really doesn't make any sense.
Lord. Kaufman is trying here and you can't fault him for that but dang. Hell, I can recall when Troma just meant low budget and kind of goofy. This? I'm not sure I can post the trailer on this site, just to give you an idea. I can respect the hustle certainly but sometimes you should ask yourself 'does the monster need to have semen blasted in his eyes'? Maybe stick with some of the older stuff.
