Flash Gordon 3: or Why I Don't Write for a Living

Assuming Flash Gordon 2 made some bank, how would I end the trilogy?

That shape that crawled away from the wreckage of the Witch Queen's palace? Ming the Merciless!

So, what is Ming's plan for revenge? He gathers a few forces and plots.

Back on Earth, Flash, Dale, and Dr. Zarkov are treated as celebrities. Zarkov sees someone in the crowd and flashes back to his youth in war torn Poland.

He was fleeing with his parents when a man rushed in front of them and took over a dozen shots. He fell to the ground, but to the family's eyes he rises and fights back. He shoots them a glance before rushing off.

That man was Connor MacLeod.

On Mars, Ming plots. He needs a warrior and he's tired of failure. Casting his visions across time and space, he finds the perfect example: The Kurgan. Plucking him from the time stream, he explains what he wants.

The Kurgan is less than impressed, but if he gets to the be the One and unleash hell on a global scale? He's flexible.

Ming's no fool though. He sees the Kurgan's ambition and quickly betrays him, figuring to reverse engineer him and make both himself and his troops immortal. The Kurgan escapes and brings Flash and Co. to Mars.

Ming boasts that was his plan the whole time. With all his enemies in one place, he transports them all back to Mongo, much to the shock of Prince Barin and Princess Aura (they were in the proceeds of being married when the party is crashed).

Fighting breaks out across the planet, but unseen by all, Connor MacLeod snuck onboard with the heroes and goes to face his own enemy. Ming decides to swap foes and goes after Connor while the Kurgan is let loose against Flash.

There's still more juice left in the teleporter and thanks to an errant sword strike the band Queen is taken to Mongo.

Seeing Flash Gordon in action inspires Freddie Mercury and Co. to pen the Flash Gordon theme as battle lines are drawn. Big sword fight but eventually Flash and Connor switch back, Connor decapitates the Kurgan while Flash stabs Ming.

With the machine still working, Flash and everyone else goes home.
