Aroma of Troma: Fortress of Amerikkka (1989)

Fortress of Amerikkka (1989), dir. Eric Louzil, Troma Entertainment

Troma goes political.

In the quaint little burg of Troma City, the Powers that Be are gearing for a fight. In town, there's Sheriff Tex Bodine (David Crane) and in the woods there is Commander Karl Denton (William J. Kuzler). Both men are bad news, with Bodine being your typical fat Southern sheriff, who acts more like a feudal lord. Denton is just as bad, as he commands the 'Fortress of Amerikkka', your typical backwood milita types.

Between these two walks John Whitecould (Gene LeBock). Johnny is itching to get some revenge against the sheriff, but that might have to wait as his ex, Jennifer (Kellee Bradley) is also in town. With both sides blowing up everyone and everything they see, can John get revenge for his brother's death?

If the words before make this film seem coherent, I apologize for the deception. Poor sound, poor line reading, and even worse lighting I've seen this held up as a perfect Troma film but I disagree. Toxic Avenger showed Troma could do a competent film. This one is just bad.
