I. Freleng, Mutiny on the Bunny, USA 1950
The first Yosemite Sam short of 1950, sort of. Here he is Shanghai Sam but the idea is the same.
Sam lives up to his name though, as his sole crew member escapes the Sad Sack, forcing Sam to go hunting for a new crew, i.e. one person. A certain rabbit wonders by and sees the signs promising a free world trip.
From there things get worse for the captain. Overall pretty good. Sam is the perfect foil and casting him as a ship captain works perfectly, even better than a pirate.
