Charles M. Jones, Frigid Hare, USA 1949
Not one of Jones' best, but cute in its own way.
Bugs takes the wrong turn and ends up at the South Pole. There he runs into Playboy Penguin (unnamed here) and a nameless hunter.
From there Bugs is roped into saving the penguin from the hunter's spear multiple times.
Not awful, but the hunter is an utter cipher who only speaks in grunts. Yosemite Sam would have been a better fit I think. Playboy does alright as a plot device; cute but not cloying. The final punchline is a blast though.
