Aroma of Troma Week: When Nature Calls (1985)

When Nature Calls (1985) dir. Charlie Kaufman, Troma Entertainment

And here we have almost the last film from Lloyd's brother. Going back to the well this time with a comedy in the vein of the Zucker/Abrams comedies.

Greg (David Orange) is a construction worker, but he's sick of the rat race. People pushing, shoving, the smog, why the big city isn't fit to live in anymore!

So when he hears the subtle siren of nature's call, well he just has to answer it. So he takes his wife Barb (Barbara Marineau), son Little Billy (Nicky Beim), and daughter Bambi (Tina Marie Staiano) and drags them off into the woods to forge a new life, whever they want to go or not.

Thankfully they find help from native guide Wee-Jun (David Strathian), otherwise they would have died in the first reel.

If one joke doesn't tickle your funny bone, don't worry another one will be along in a few seconds. Constant sight gags and gag trailers make up for the main story's few shortcomings.
