Blade III: Trinity-or why I shouldn't write screenplays

Blade III doesn't have the best rep, although most of it is rather well deserved. That being said, if Marvel/New Line for whatever reasons decided to give me the task of writing the screenplay, and if there were no problems, here is what I have.

We would open with the world more or less the same. The vampires are looking to finally crush Blade, but one particular group, lead by Danica Talos (Parker Posey) is also looking to rule not only the humans but other vampires as well. Leading her group to a ruined castle in Romania, she wakes up Dracula (Christopher Lee). Expecting a half senile vamp she could rule as a puppet, she is rather surprised when the old man tears Jarko's (Triple H) arms off. He makes it very clear that he will be calling the shots.

Blade, meanwhile, is being recruited by the Nightstalkers. Why weren't they mentioned in the first two films? Because he didn't think much of them. "Yeah, you've killed a hundred vamps, but you've lost what, 300 people doing so?"

They plan to counter that with their secret weapon: Hannibal King (Ryan Reynolds)-turncoat vampire. Blade almost stakes him on the spot, but Rachael Van Helsing (Jessica Biel) makes the case. The vampire higher ups are ignoring them, mostly because they are focusing all their efforts on Blade. They figure they have the best chance to wipe out all the vampires at once. Namely the Darkhold, a book that contains spells dating back to ancient Atlantis. The only known copy? Last seen inside Castle Dracula.

So, from there we have a three way fight between vampires, Dracula, and Blade. Blade wins (after a massive fight with Dracula), the spells are used, and all vampires are dead (King is turned back into a human).
