Double Dragon: Or, Why I Probably Won't be Writing Screeplays for a Living

Had some fun doing the whole redoing something terrible, so I thought; as the pollen slowly clogs everything and drives me blind, why not do it again?

I'm sure most of you out there remember Double Dragon. Two guys beating up a city to rescue the girl, along with variations on that theme propelled that series to a movie in 1994. A movie that you might have missed if you were otherwise occupied for the week it was in theaters.

So, how then would I fix this? Read on and  remember the sign of the dragon.

In the future of 199X, crime is out of control. Gangs have turned portions of the city into open war zones that even the cops can't enter. One of the meaner ones is the Shadow Warriors, run by the vicious and crazy Machine-Gun Willy (Bolo Yeung). Police Captain Delario (Kurt Russell) is fighting a losing fight but still making some grounds.

Willy decides to stop playing around and crush the cops. The best way he can think of is by kidnapping Marian (Alyssa Milano), the captain's daughter. The kidnapping is witnessed by none other than the Lee brothers, Billy (Brandon Lee) and Jimmy (Mark Dacascos). Billy and Jimmy are basically fed up with crime and the kidnapping is the final straw.

From there it is more or less a 75 minute fist fight. Fighting their way through the ruined slums, the Shadow Warriors' drug factory, and finally the hidden temple of the gang, the Lee brothers square off against the various members of the gang. There would be Linda (Cynthia Rothrock), Williams (Robert Patrick), Lopar (Reb Brown), Bolo (Lou Ferringo), Abobo (Bad News Brown), and Jeff (Dolph Lundgren).
