Aroma of Troma: The First Turn-On!! (1983)

The First Turn-On!! (1983), dirs. Lloyd Kaufman, Michael Herz, Troma Entertaiment/Grande Company

If you got to go, why not go out with a bang? Yeah, this would be the last of the teen sex comedies that Troma would do. Is it a grande finale?

It's the last day of camp at Camp Big Tee-Pee. Counselor Michelle (Georgia Harrell) is about at her wits end dealing with one group of campers.

Mitch (Michael Sanville)-a total stud, as he constantly reminds everyone.

Annie (Hedi Miller)-Mitch's girlfriend, maybe.

Henry (Googy Gress)- He's FAT!

Danny (John Flood)-NERD!

Yeah, that about sums up their characters right there. As this groups takes in nature, they head into a nearby cave to smoke some reefer. Michelle finds them, but Henry's marijuana fueled farts prove to be too powerful for the nearby rocks. One fart joke later the entire is now trapped in a cave.

Deciding to pass the time, everyone there decides to recall their first sexual experience.

Mitch's yarn has him being picked up by a high class call girl. In a panic, he calls his best (for some reason) friend Jeff (Frank Tent Saladino), who is no help. Will Mitch rid himself of his best fiend and win the maiden's heart? Or at least part of her?

Henry's is a bit...something I'm sure. He gets invited to a Halloween party, so why not go as a spooky ghost? Pity he forgets the eyeholes; also he stumbles across a group of African American men (including Rondell Sheriden) beating up a comely young lass. She mistakes his panicking failing as heroics and the two comsunmate their love before a pile of donuts.

Annie's a bit more straight forward. She was working on her parent's farm when she noticed a handsome stranger. She takes him behind the barn to traumatize the watching sheep.

Danny's strain credibility, even in this setting. He's at the beach when he runs into pinup queen Sheila Kennedy. She then gets friendly with him and his brother's girlfriend at the same time.

As tensions mount, will the group be rescued in time? Not horrible, but broad and dim at the same time. Funny enough this wouldn't be the last film Troma did as a teen sex comedy but it was the end of an era. The very next film Kaufman and Co. did? A certain Monster Hero flick that I already covered.
