Jonah Hex, part 2

Following the previous entry, what would part 2 be?

Part 2: The Man with the Eagle Tipped Cane

1875 and we're back in the now ruined remains of the Turnbull plantation. Quintin and his followers have been amassing weapons and striking at key points across the US, preparing for their ultimate goal: Killing President Grant.

Hex, considered dead, has been working his way back home when he runs into Tallulah Black, the only bounty hunter as scarred and mean as he is. Seems she got hired to bring Turnbull in and since Hex is supposed to be dead she's been improving her rep as the most fearsome bounty hunter in the west.

The two team up but their cover gets blown. Hex is dragged before the assembled group and put on trial. Hex argues and why he left and that he didn't kill Jeb. Quintin doesn't really care and sentences him to death by firing squad.

Tallulah intervenes and Hex escapes. Mass gun fights break out but in the end in comes down to Hex and Turnbull. Hex wins, but Turnbull makes it clear that no one will believe Hex's story and that he'll be hunted and hated across the world.

Hex is ok with this and empties his gun into Turnbull's guts.

Part 3: The Last Bounty Hunter

1904. Hex is now 66 years old. He still rides a horse, even though cars are becoming a thing. He drives off showman LB Farnham, who has been stalking him for a few states and trying to get him to sign with his Wild West Show. He tracks down desperate bank robber George Barrow (Michael Shannon) and brings the man in alive. A few days later, as Hex sits down to play poker in a local saloon before he heads out, a freshly escaped Barrow walks up behind the older man and blasts him with a shotgun. Hex dies alone on the bar floor.

Barrow swaggers out into the street, boasting his crime when he is in turn riddled with bullets from the town's police force who have gotten quite sick of the fellow.

Hex's body is then stolen by Farnham and turned into a display. Farnham doesn't get to live long off his deed though, as when he is slipping Hex's Dragoons into the corpse's hands for a final touch he fails to check if they're loaded. They are and a sickened crowd watches Hex put two bullets in the man from beyond the grave.

After that, we see Farnham's assistant Simon take over the show. He counts his money before Hex's corpse when 2 robbers come in and relieve him of both cash and life. After that a narrator (Morgan Freeman) brings us up to speed.

"The stuffed corpse of Jonah Hex underwent a strange odyssey after that. In 1923 it lay in the backroom of a musty old antique shop somewhere in the Midwest. When it went out of business in 1949, its contents were consigned to a warehouse in Detroit. Jonah lay there until 1972 when an enterprising businessman purchased him for the West World Amusement Park on the outskirts of New York City. You've probably seen the commercials on television. Before you leave the theater, stop to say goodbye to him. Jonah Woodson Hex. Born 1838 Died 1904. The Last Bounty Hunter."

We would see Hex's body as described before it ends up in a run down amusement park. Rain starts to fall before the credits come up.
