The Return of Cody, or why I don't write for a living

Since no one seemed to mind, why not finish the Tom Cody trilogy with the third planned film?

It has been a while since Tom Cody (Bruce Campbell) has been to the city. Ellen Aim and the Attackers are on another world tour and doing well for themselves. The Bombers have been broken and other gangs rule the streets.

Greer (Lee Ving), however, still remembers Cody and what he did to Raven (William Dafoe) and he's been waiting. Officially the Bombers broke up, but all they did was infiltrate other gangs, the police, and even City Hall. Yeah, what was a gang that controlled a few streets now controls the whole town.

They announce their new stance by blowing up the Blackhawk bar. Bartender Clyde (Bill Paxton) barely makes it out in one piece. Reva (Deborah Van Valkenburgh) is kidnapped. If Tom Cody wants to see his sister remain in once piece, he comes back, alone.

Tom gets the message, but McCoy (Amy Madigan) follows him as he returns. Greer makes it simple. All Tom has to do is come get his sister. She's in the basement of City Hall, along with a few barrels of gas and some dynamite.

Oh, and the entire town is looking to cash his chips in; something about a reward on his head, plus all the gangs look to be the ones to bring the great Tom Cody down.

He's low on friends and surrounded by enemies. That's just the way Tom Cody prefers it.

The rest of the film is Cody running himself ragged, fighting through the streets, the rooftops, the sewers, until he drags himself up the steps of City Hall. Greer is waiting, at least until he steps aside. Yup, its Raven, although he's wearing a suit instead of leather. He grew up, not playing solider boy anymore. He's still going to kill Cody with his bare hands though.

Cody takes a breath, shrugs off his tattered jacket and two have the longest bare knuckle brawl ever recorded on film. Greer tries to step in, but McCoy handles him. In the end, Raven is beaten, Cody saves Reva and a happy ending all around.
