Howard Lovecraft & the Undersea Kingdom (2017)

Howard Lovecraft & the Undersea Kingdom (2017) dir. Sean Patrick O'Reilly, Arcana Studio

Now we come to the end, not of the summer, but of the Summer of Love(craft) 3. With this review, I throw the whole series back into the stygian depths until either next year or until they make more stories based on the works of H.P. Lovecraft.

We pick up with Howard Lovecraft (Kiefer O'Reilly), having saved the Frozen Kingdom and returned home with his new pet Spot in tow. Everything's fine and dandy...except that his mother has been kidnapped by King Abdul (Jeffery Combs), who wants the journals of Howard's father.

Enter Dr. Henry Armitage (Mark Hamill), who teams up with Howard and his now sane father to enter the undersea world and stop Abdul Alhazred before he unleashes total chaos upon the world.

Better? I mean, the cast alone is worth it (Hamill, Christopher Plummer, Combs, Ron Perlman, Doug Bradley), but the animation is still cheap looking. Honestly looks like a PS2 reject.
