Beware the Batman: Broken

“Broken”, Beware the Batman, Cartoon Network 10 Aug 2013

Back again as promised.

-“Since when did Gotham star putting up statues on the sidewalk?” You would think the people of Gotham would be a bit more wary of any thing looking like a toy appearing in a public place.
-Ah, the giant toy soldier is actually a bomb with a person trapped inside. Clever, although that does seem more like a Toyman thing to do.
-Batman knows it’s a bomb…somehow. A baterang apparently tells him how, but how did he know to use it?
-And now Batman is being smarmy to Gordon
-Wait, if Gordon’s phone can’t work underground, how could Batman call him?
-Tobias Whale was more a Black Lightning villain and a Kingpin without the class, but he works well enough as a gangster foe.
-Again, if you see two giant toy soldiers with lit cannons in the middle of a public street, would your first impression would be to stare blankly?
-“Nice shot Batman” Yeah, I mean it almost tore your head off. Good aiming there bats
-Ah, flashback time. So, everyone tied up in the toys was connected to the Dumpler case. More on Humpty later
-“He went crazy after you got him blown up”, Bats you dick. If the flashback is to be believed, Humpty wasn’t blown up so much as knocked down. And who plans for a RPG?
-And Batman just named the villain. The guy’s name is Humphrey Dumpler, but Humpty Dumpty is a bit on the nose, isn’t?
-“Never sneak up on an old spy when he is making a sandwich” words to live by
-So, Batman can see everything and plan for everything, but three giant toy soldiers can escape his notice by standing around a corner?
-“Last known address of Humpty Dumpty” “A wall” good idea to have a computer with sarcasm
-Some info on the Soultaker sword and Katana, which sets things up nicely for future episodes
-Ok, you would think by now any type of amusement park would be closed down, as they only seem to attract super villains.
-“I never meant to hurt anyone!” So locking them inside bombs doesn’t count as hurting?
-Again a foe mentions how worthy an opponent Batman is. Is this going to be a thing?
-Where does an accountant get the funds to build a fully functional robot of himself?
Not terrible, but the use of Humpty Dumpty falls under the same problems the other episodes have; namely Humpty has the riddles of the Riddler with some more Joker antics tossed in; in the comics Humpty’s thing was fixing things by taking them apart…including people. Strange they’d used him. Matt L. Jones does a good voice though
Next time we see the debut of Metamorpho
