When Dinosaurs Ruled the Earth (1970), dir. Val Guest, Hammer Films
Did you know, aside from dinosaurs, cavemen had to deal with a lack of Moon? Yup, seems dinos are older than the MOON. Not sure I can add to that.
Samma (Victoria Vetri) is offered as part of a sacrifice. She manages to escape and is found by some fishermen from a rival tribe. One in particular (Robin Hawke) takes a shine to her. Things get a bit chilly back at his village, as his mate (Imogen Hassall) makes it clear she ain't sharing the bed.
Down the way and over yonder, Samma's tribe misses her. Mostly because they blame her lack of being killed as the reason why there seems to be something else in the sky.
Misunderstandings abound. Fisherman dude leaves his tribe to hook up with Samma proper but is their love enough to fend off cavemen AND dinosaurs?
Gah! When I say misunderstandings, I mean the most contrived sets of events I think I've ever seen on film. Samma runs off and gets entangled by a man-eating plant. She cuts off some hair to escape. When Fisherman finds it he naturally assumes she's stone dead, etc.
Just dumb, dumb, and dumb. The fanservice is nice though but honestly there are better quality of Hammer flick if you want that.
