"The Master Builders", the Transformers, October 8 1985
Grapple and Hoist are trying to sell Prime on their building a solar tower. Prime likes it, but shoots it down as it would be too hard to defend.
After a fight, Grapple has the idea of just doing the tower anyway. Better to ask forgiveness than permission, right? Hoist says no. Even if they did build the tower themselves, it is too much work for just two bots.
Right on cue the Constructicons appear! Just appear, not attack. Yeah, they are sick of fighting and want to construct things, not destroy.
They tell Megatron the opposite though, telling him that the tower would be a nice addition to the Decepticon's power needs.
The tower is soon completed, but will Grapple and Hoist survive the unveiling?
Pretty good, although we get more contradictory background for Constructicons, with the group saying they were always fans of Grapple's work, except "Heavy Metal War" suggested they were built on Earth and fairly recent at that.
The idea of Decepticons/Autobots working together was a neat idea though and would be touched on again later throughout the franchise.
