Updates

Ok, an update for the rest of 2022.

July will see the return of the UWF, so more wrestling madness.

There will also be more Summer of Love(craft), Shark Week, and Aroma of Troma.

September will be the 3rd TFtember, so if you enjoy Transformers check that out.

October will of course be Horror Hosts and horror reviews.

November will see the debut of a new feature-Ninjavember. Ninja movies and Ninja High School.

And December will see the return of the art jam and some of the odds and bobs I've seen.

Tuesday, March 1, 2022

Updates

Ok, with the Bring on the Bad Guys wrapped up for another year what is on the plate for 2022?

Next big special will be a return of TFtember but in April (TFril?). Had so much fun last time I figured we'll bring it back for April and September.

May will see a return of the Superstars Profile and more 80's wrestling stars.

More later.

Updates for 2021 and preview of 2022

Might have a few rambling thoughts to end November, but next month we'll see the return of the art jam, with this time featuring new art every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.

Next year we'll see a return of the favorites, or at least the stuff I like doing. We'll see a return of Bring on the Bad Guys, with a special Silver Age focus this time. More UWF, the Summer of Love(craft), TFtember (double the entries this time), Horror Countdown and Horror Host aplenty and a new feature.

Yes, brand new. Can your minds handle the sheer mind-blowing phenomena of...Ninjavember?

Updates for the rest of 2021

Ok, got some irons in the fire. The rest of the year will more or less be:

September: TFtember

All Transformers, all the time! Yes, every day in September we'll be taking a look at a different piece of the TF franchise.

October: Horror 2021 Countdown/Horror Host Retrospective

As before, we'll be doing a different horror film every day, plus we'll be taking a special look at the horror hosts of Ohio.

November: Cool down, plus miscellaneous posts.

December: Art Jam, this time we'll be doing every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.

As for 2022, well, let's get through the next few weeks before we going doing anything else.

Updates and upcoming work

Just realized today is the 40th anniversary of MTV. 24 hour music gave way to reality TV and Step Brothers reruns.

Still, the idea is nice.

Also this past December saw the end of the El Ray Network, which rather saddened me. Heck, if you said 'D, come up with a channel', that's pretty much what I'd have. Wrestling, monster movies, lucha movies, weird cartoons, Troma...pretty much everything I liked. Didn't have enough classic anime, but eh, still good. It aired its last show on December 31st with a rerun of Lucha Underground. Not even a fond farewell like Chiller.

This month will see the return of the Aroma of Troma, September will see a brand new feature, and horror stalks aplenty in October.

updates

 Ok, brief update.

The UWF rewrite is over for the year. Next year I'll focus on the next set of shows leading up to the next PPV.

Still working on the Summer of Love(craft) every Friday. Next week is Shark Week, so expect a new shark review everyday starting Sunday through Saturday.

August will be more general reviews, but September? September will see a brand new feature.

Star Trek: Voyager, or a Breakdown on Many Levels

Ok, new feature coming this month. I did a "What I would do if I wrote Star Trek: Voyager" but I didn't get into that much detail. So I'm going to do it again, but this time I'll be focusing on the individual characters.

Next month, the return of the WWF Superstars, then June Bugs after that.

Friday, March 5, 2021

Updates

Ok, low content for a while, but we'll be back full time in May for the Superstars Profile series, June Bugs in June, and the return of the UWF to finish off the summer.

So to you lucky handful that have stuck around, check them out.

Updates and upcoming things

I hope everyone's Halloween was safe. As for the blog, November is going to be a bit slow. There might be a few reviews but that's about it. December will see the return of the art showcase, this year starting off on Wednesday and running through Friday every week in December. After that we'll be in 2021.

Catch ya later.

Updates for the rest of 2020

Ok, with the Aroma of Troma behind us, September is going to be a bit light on content. Maybe a few reviews, etc., but October? October will again see Horror of all stripes, but all the Centennial and Pelican horror hosts.

November will probably be again be light, but December will see the return of the art showcase. The main difference is that will start on Wednesday and will run WTF every week of December. Expect more Pro Wrestling: The Comic as well as some of the odds and bobs I've gathered over the years.

Upcoming projects and future updates

I hope you happy few enjoyed the reworking of the Universal Wrestling Federation. Will we see UWF Rampage?

Maybe? I doubt we'll see it again this year but let's take a look at some of the other projects you can enjoy here at Geekademia!

For the rest of August, updates will be less than before. I will be doing a special reworking of the Marvel Universe. More detail on that Friday.

Going through some old ads, I caught something from the Sci-Fi Channel. 'Aroma from Troma', so yes, later this month I'll be doing a full week of Troma reviews.

September will be spotty but expect a review or two. October will be horror hosts and horror flicks, of course. November will be probably be a quiet month, and December will be the art showcase.

Updates and upcoming events

Hope everyone enjoyed our look back at the Golden Age Green Lantern and his many besuited foes.

More or less a break for a bit, but be sure to come back this June for a special surprise, as well as what might be the last go-round for the Summer of Love(craft) plus the return of Shark Week.

Upcoming updates

Well, new year and a new series of posts.

First, over the holiday I found a rather interesting tome. Going Going Gone (Susan Jonas & Marilyn Nissenson, Chronicle Books, 1994) is a sort of eulogy/salute to vanishing Americana. Each chapter devotes itself to something that was fading/gone. Given that's up my alley, I'll be taking a look at each chapter. Sort of summary/update plus some stuff that may wasn't included in the book.

Next month, February will see the return of Bring on the Bad Guys. This year we'll be looking at the foes of the Golden Age Green Lantern.

October will see the Horror Countdown rise from it's crypt plus a look back at the horror hosts of Colorado and Louisiana.

All this, plus more art in December.

Merry Christmas!

Enjoying a fine day of holiday specials and endless variations on Dickens' A Christmas Carol.

More work will be appearing here in the upcoming year. Be sure to check in February for our 4th Annual Bring on the Bad Guys. We'll be taking a look at the Golden Age Green Lantern, a surprise for this summer with our Summer of Love(craft) and of course more horror and horror hosts during October.

Updates and upcoming attractions

While we gear for a holiday season and stuffing ourselves with turkey and the like, I'd take a moment to talk about the rest of the year.

If you recall, last December there was a special showing of art every Friday that month. Since I wasn't run out of town, I figured we'll have a repeat but in true sequel fashion it will be bigger.

Yes, there will be an art update every Thursday and Friday this December. The second chapter of Pro Wrestling will be released (at least what I have so far) along with a whole host of goodies. Will it be a random sampling or work from one particular set? Who knows, you'll have to tune in next month and find out!
