"Transport to Oblivion", The Transformers, October 6 1984.
So, with the pilot out of the way, what is the new status quo?
The Decepticons, despite what the Autobots think, aren't dead. Now, they converted their crashed ship into a massive underwater base. They finally get their equipment up and running when Shockwave finally makes contact. Things are grim back on Cybertron, as their energy reserves are dangerously low. They did finish their space bridge though.
Megatron sends out the troops to construct his own so they can go back and forth. Jazz and Spike are in the city when a massive blackout occurs. Heading back to base, it is determined that the Decepticons must be up to something.
During an attack, Ironhide is badly injured. Spike and Bumblebee opt to go scouting, but this ends with the two of them being captured. Things go from bad to worse as Megatron figures, what with the Space Bridge being finished and all what they need is some test dummies. They only have so much time the planets are too far apart for the bridges to work.
Bumblebee manages to escape, but his memory circuits have been altered to misremember the bridge's proper location, thus leading the Autobots into a trap. Can they figure it out in time?
Pretty good, although I'm surprised the bridge wasn't used that much after this, but it would be a good story engine to get the characters to Cybertron and back.
